Win XP SP2

Last night Windows Auto Update poped up saying Windows XP Service Pack 2 is ready to install. I wasn't going to install SP2 any time soon due to the negative feed backs I've been hearing. But since it's available now, I'll give it a shot. After 15 minutes, it installed fine. After reboot, it asked me if I wanted to enable Windows Firewall. I enabled it and surprising it only asked if I want to disable Winny. Adaware, Spybot, AVG anti-virus worked fine despite the fact that many security applications will not compatible with SP2. My next concern is Nero 6. I can't recall who told me this but some one said that he had to update his Nero 6. Last time I updated my Nero 6, it screwed up something and I couldn't run Nero. Hope I don't have to do that...

Curling

I got into a CRA curling tournament as a replacement yesterday. A guy who was supposed to go in called in sick because of his back. Supposed he twisted his back while he was sleeping. One co-worker commented, "teach him how to sleep". We all laughed.

Curling was fun even though we didn't win any of the game. But at least we got the drinks out from it ;-). The rule is the the winning team members have to buy a drink to the loser team members.

A day after the curling game, my knee is sore from banging it too many times on the ice when I was throwing the rocks and my right shoulder is sore from sweeping the ice to much. Oh well, they'll go away in a couple days.

Para-gliding and cars

Out from the Fitz window, we noticed there was a guy (girl ?) doing para-gliding far from my building. It seemed like he caught the stream and went higher but now seems like he's coming down. Reminded me of a CSI episode..... Hope he landed safely.

At the same time, Nissan is loading up their cars on the truck and getting ready to move them.

Paiting a parking lot lamp post

There's a guy painting the lamp post in the parking lot. The cherry picker seemed a bit shaky. Don't be in his position especially it looked pretty high....

Song....

Can't remember the name of the singer and the title of the song.... Now this
is going to bug me....

Intel wireless and 256 bit WEP

Seems like Intel is not coming out a new driver to support 256 bit WEP for
their mini PCI wireless adapter. Sucks.... I won't able to connect to my
home WiFi using 256 bit WEP.

Bike lock security issue

Watching news last night and was featuring the security issue of Kryptonite bike locks. Supposedly it can be open with a Bic pen.... Pretty scary stuff but at least they made the public aware of the issue through the mass media and pulled out the products from the stores. Manufacture is also offering free replacement or rebate on the locks users already bought.

Can be checked out from http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,64987,00.html.

Accident

Had some guy almost hit my side on Hwy 417 last night. Bad drivers on the
