Day 4

Today was a busy day. Started at 8 and calling a day at 6 and still have tasks waiting for me to finish tomorrow...

I went upstairs to my room and somehow my key card does not work. When people are in the situation, the tend to think the negative and I am one of them. I guess I'm a half grass empty kind of person. Anyways, back to the story, I though they screwed up on the booking and they only booked the room for 3 days and lock me out. But reception just needed to reprogram my key card and told me to store away from the magnet. I keep my key card in my pants pocket and unless my "down-there" is magnetized, it's not possible. Main point is I got in room and they haven't evacated my stuff out from my room.

I haven't done any research on the restaurant so I dscided to go back to a place went I was in Toronto 3 months ago. Rain. Orded Japanese beef and red bean noodle in Sukiyaki soup and black pork in three ways. Presentation of dishes are top notch! I was really impressed with frozen soup bowl. After a while it started to melt, I had move the bowl and food inside into the real china bowl. I must say I really enjoy the food and environment. But high cost will deter me to come if I were to pay from my own wallet. Thank you Broadridge for the fine dinning :-).

Day 3

My supervisor asked to come in earlier today so I went in at 8:15 am. He happened to leave at noon due to this family issue. So today was my slack-off day in Toronto :-).

I've been eating lunch at this great Thai fastfood called Thai Express (www.thaiexpress.ca). Every time I go down to the food court, there is a long line up. Can't believe we don't have in Vancouver. I am certain they'll do well in Vancouver. They make the every dishes fresh and you cav

I jumped into Japanese Izakaya (tapas) I found a couple blocks away from the hotel. Upon checking the menu, it is some what disappointed. Menu selection in Vancouver Izakaya (Hapa and Guu) is much better. Ordered a glass of sake, yaki-tori, gyoza, dumplings, etc just like every Japnese salary-man would do in Japan :-). One good thing about this place is that it has unsecure WIFI connection. Don't know if it's restaurant's network or not but I'm going to use it to blog!

Day 2

Nothing interesting. Just work and more work and settling in at my desk.

Oh, the room I'm staying is on the 40th floor. 7 less floors to go down and up the stairs in case there is another fire alarm again. And this room is quite small compared to the room I stayed in last time. I wonder if the price is going to cheaper...

I craved for meat and off to KEG.

Toronto Again

One of my co-worker in Toronto branch office is taking a week off so I was asked to come to cover for the hort stuff.

One good thing about Toronto right now us that weather is still nice. Checked weathernetwork.com and a whole week is going to be nice and sunny. It sure beats Vancouver dark depressing rainy days. Oh, and dining out using company money is another bonus :-).

First impression at Toronto again is that I see more bums on the street. The last time I was here 3 months ago was not like this. Or may be I just didn't pay attention to them last time.

This time, I didn't have a chace to do the research on Toronto restaurant so went back to a place called, East!. I'll do Google search later to explore this city later.

After the last dinner, I watched Family Guy and American Dad. I had some time to kill after, so I watched a movie I copied on my SD, 1408. Interesting movie to watch while you're staying at the hotel. Thanks god, that i didn't have any nightmare :-).
