Occupational Health and Safety

I was appointed as a member of Safety Committee in Vancouver office at my company and I just attended one day course on Occupational Health Safety at BCIT. When I was going to step into the building, the fire alerm goes off. What a great way to start a safety course by welcome of fire alarm :-). At least the instructor was pretty funny guy and joking a lot. In a fact a girl beside me was laughing a whole time. He made the course light so it wasn't as sleepy as usual borning courses I've taken.

Most of topic that he brought up in the class didn't apply to my company, as it in on office environment for my company but people who attended the course are from the construction, chemical supply, and other heavy lifting and machinery operating environment.

This will be interesting challenge for me as I never done this before and I don't think there was any Safety Committee in the office before. Will see how it turns out and see if anyone gets hurt or not ;-).
